Awards for 3rd Croydon!

We received news of two exciting awards at 3rd Croydon this week. Firstly our Joeys and Cubs sections received the Quality Scouting Award for 2008, which is awarded to sections where at least three quarters of the members stay in Scouting for another year. Well done to our Joey and Cub leaders for providing a great programme that kids want to be part of. Well done to the Scouts too, who only missed out by a few percent.
The second award is the Chief Commissioner’s award. This is awarded to people and groups who have made a significant contribution to the growth and development of Scouting in their community. 3rd Croydon Scout Group increased our membership by over 26% in the last year, one of the best in Maroondah District. Congratulations to all the leaders, especially to our Group Leader Helen Borland, for building a strong and exciting group. Well done to all of our young people too, for letting their friends know how exciting it is to be part of scouting at 3rd Croydon.
